Getting Started

My S.M.A.R.T. Goals for the next 5 months.
I will lose 50 pounds by my birthday, June 23. I will do so by:

  1. Waking at 6:00am
  2. Doing 30 - 45 minutes of body weight training every other day
  3. Doing 30 - 45 minutes of cadio on alternating days
  4. Eating NO junk food
  5. Drinking at least a gallon of water each day
  6. Journaling daily

The official start date for these goals is Sunday, Jan. 20, 2017.
In the meantime, I will continue to add to the progress I've made since September 1, 2016; which includes a net loss of 16 lbs at my last weigh in on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017. The numbers were better, but I took a month off (which was supposed to be a week off), during which, I gained nearly 10 pounds back,
What I learned during my hiatus was, eating junk left me feeling like junk. I felt miserable all the time, and the food wreaked havoc on my digestive system. I was popping antacids like breath mints, and just in agony. 
Since getting my eating back on track, the month long stomach pains have dissipated and my energy levels are higher.
I don't want to go through this again, which is why I finally wrote out my goals.
