Hello Everyone! Welcome to my life.

WHO AM I?

Hi my name is Cherita L. Axel and I was born in Buffalo, NY. I am the middle child of seven children, five boys and two girls. I'd spent the last nine years in Raleigh, NC and relocated to Mount Prospect, IL in March of 2005, where I currently live with my wonderful husband Vid, my beautiful daughter Aliana and my father-in-law, Len.

I am a self-taught graphics and web designer by profession, who also enjoys tinkering with computer innards. However, in my heart and soul I am and always will be a writer.

I was bitten by the writing bug when I was about eight years old; I had to write a Halloween story for a third grade homework assignment and have been hooked ever since. Over the years I've written more poems than I can count, most of which were lost in a house fire many years ago. I've also dabbled in writing short stories, small articles and I've even tried my hand at an unfinished screenplay. I have an overly active imagination; in my mind anything is possible.

I also have a love of fitness, which is a bit hard to tell it you look at me right now. This love of fitness has prompted me to include it as part of my site; more as an added incentive to get back on the fitness wagon.

WHY DID I CREATE THIS SITE?

I created this site to catalog my journey on this great big blue/green marble. Whether it's a long detailed account of my day, a small observation of a spider spinning its web on the ceiling or a joke my daughter told me... it's my journey.

This site will serve as a showcase for my writing, the good and the very very bad; as well as my fitness journal. Did I work out today? Did I cheat on my nutrition? How do I feel about what I did or did not do in my fitness efforts? If you want to know how it's going, just stop by.

In short, this site was created by me, for me and about me. For those who want to know more about me please get comfortable; but be warned... it's not all pretty.

My Ramblings: A blog created as an outlet to ramble on [possibly incoherently] about what ever is on my mind; whether it is fitness or politics, my family or my writing. I may just feel the urge to babble on about my cat Zen'r sleeping in the bathroom sink. Read at your own risk.

My Writing: Short stories, articles and poems I've written throughout the years. This will include some poems that I thought were lost forever (dating back to my pre-teen years - about 5 years ago Wink), which were discovered in my Grandmother's apartment after she died a few years ago. Please be kind, as I haven't polished anything yet and things may be a bit rough. When I write, I pay little attention to past or present tense until I'm editing. I also have a love for commas, which make other punctuation marks jealous. However, suggestions are always welcome.
